When HB210 became law in October of 2014, statewide standards were developed for the use of restraint and seclusion in public schools. As a result, North Slope Borough School District began training critical staff in the implementation of evidence-based Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques and Nonviolent Physical Crisis Intervention Techniques.
