The North Slope Borough School District is currently in the process of revamping our curriculum. Utilizing the Understanding By Design method of creating district and classroom units, our Curriculum Development Team is leading teachers across the Slope in the realization of a curriculum in which the Iñupiaq Learning Framework is the foundation. Currently, teachers are in the process of continuing Unit development, in addition to implementing both Teacher-Developed Units, as well as the Units developed by the Iñupiaq Education Department.
